Family claims abuse

The Butler County family of a 1-year-old placed in foster care with convicted killers Liz and David Carroll Jr. has alleged in a federal lawsuit that the boy was tied up and kicked down the stairs by the Union Township couple while staying with them last summer.
Aaron and Sara Leach are suing the Carrolls; their live-in girlfriend, Amy Baker; Butler County; and the foster care placement agency, Lifeway for Youth, claiming their son was subjected to abuse when he lived in the Carrolls' home.The Leaches were forced to give up their sons, ages 5, 4, and 1, in February 2006 after Aaron was convicted of selling drugs. The Leaches have since regained full custody.
