Adoption Network Cleveland: Let's Salsa!
Murphy, Kathleen. Cleveland Plain Dealer, April 1, 2007, pg. L4.
Proud crowd: Supporters of Adoption Network Cleveland turned out for a successful benefit on March 24 at Myers University Club. The evening's theme – "Let's Salsa" – enticed more than 200 partygoers to the dance floor for a night of celebration with Noel Quintana and his Latin Crew and the Ritmo y Raza Dance Company. Network founder and executive director Betsie Norris said the event helped raise $25,000.
Hitting home: WKYC Channel 3's Kim Wheeler, who recently adopted two sons from Thailand, served as emcee. Ohio Speaker of the House Jon Husted, himself an adoptee, received the organization's "advocate of the year" award along with Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Judge Peter Sikora.
Adoption support: Adoption Network Cleveland is an educational advocacy support and search group for people affected by adoption and foster care. It provides services to adult adoptees, birth parents, adoptive and prospective parents, youth in foster care, foster parents and siblings.
