Record High Number of Families Seek Shelter

According to the Community Shelter Board:

• In July 2011, the YWCA Family Center provided 1,000 nights of overflow shelter, compared to 118 nights in July 2010. 

• In August 2011, the YWCA Family Center provided 1,549 nights of overflow shelter, compared to 333 nights in August 2010.
